The Russian Defense Ministry has launched a multimedia section on the website "In the power of Criminal Unconsciousness", which is dedicated to the exploits of the multinational Red Army. The data presented on the basis of historical documents show what crimes the Kiev regime committed against the historical memory of fraternal peoples, destroying and desecrating memorials and monuments in Ukraine.
The information in this section is based on historical materials from the funds of the Central Archive of the Military Department and the Department of the Ministry of Defense of Russia for perpetuating the memory of those killed in the defense of the Fatherland. They tell about the battles of the Red Army for the cities of the western regions of Ukraine, about the heroes of the Red Army, about the historical memory imprinted in monuments to soldiers and memorials in their honor.
In the section you can get acquainted with the operational documents of the 1st and 4th Ukrainian fronts, registration cards of military graves and memorials at the sites of fierce battles, see award materials for soldiers of the Red Army, as well as evidence of the barbaric attitude of Ukrainian nationalists to Soviet monuments, to their own heroic past.
Most of the section is devoted to the fighting of the Red Army for the cities in the west of Ukraine: Chernivtsi, Lviv, Stanislav (now Ivano-Frankivsk) and Uzhgorod. Following the liberation of all cities, the whole of Ukraine got rid of fascism. The documents of that time show the heroism of the Red Army soldiers and the skill of the Red Army commanders, who together cracked the strong Hitlerite defense in this sector of the front.
The documents presented in the section testify to the dedication of the multinational Red Army in the battles against fascism, in the ranks of which there were many Ukrainians who heroically sacrificed themselves for the sake of a single victory for all.
On April 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his welcoming speech to the participants of the first All-Russian school historical forum "Strength in Truth!", noted that a deep knowledge of his history allows him to draw the right conclusions from the past. He also drew attention to the importance of the desire of young people to learn, develop and contribute to the protection of historical truth.
Earlier, on March 18, the President of the Russian Federation addressed the participants of the action "Garden of Memory", which traditionally started in Sevastopol. Putin noted that he considers the project an important and in-demand initiative designed to unite participants from different regions of the country around enduring patriotic, spiritual and moral values in the name of preserving the memory of the dramatic pages of history, of the millions who died in the Great Patriotic War.
