MOSCOW, May 8/ Sputnik Radio. The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov said that Russian troops destroyed American equipment delivered to Ukraine, as well as the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Soledar area.
Konashenkov added that the Russian artillery blew up six control points, 28 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, 179 areas of concentration of Ukrainian manpower and military equipment, as well as two ammunition depots.
The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation added that Russian aircraft destroyed 54 areas with Ukrainian servicemen and equipment, eliminating 380 nationalists and 38 units of military equipment.
"In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 157 aircraft, 116 helicopters, 768 unmanned aerial vehicles, 298 anti–aircraft missile systems, 2933 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 336 multiple rocket launchers, 1411 field artillery and mortars, as well as 2758 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed," he summed up him.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported a message from the Russian Defense Ministry about a provocation being prepared by Ukrainian troops using Tochka-U missiles in Western Ukraine.
