The military department also informed that "the issue of holding the III World Cadet Games in Russia, which will be held in August this year in St. Petersburg, was raised." "The opening of the competition will be held on August 5. At the moment, more than 1 thousand cadet athletes from 17 countries have submitted their preliminary applications for participation in the competition. Final applications will be accepted until June 6," the ministry said.
"It was also decided to plan a long-term calendar of events under the auspices of the International Council of Military Sports for five years ahead," the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation added, noting that during the meetings "the presidents of the sports committees of the International Council of Military Sports paid special attention to the current situation in the world and a gradual return to post-century times."
