Chisinau. May 8. INTERFAX - Pridnestrovian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky denied rumors of mobilization in the region.
"After the attacks in Transnistria, a "red" level of terrorist danger was introduced with the implementation of appropriate preventive measures and protection of the population. The law enforcement agencies of the republic have been transferred to an enhanced duty regime. The armed forces of the PMR and the OGRV in Transnistria are serving in a regular mode. There are no changes," Krasnoselsky wrote on Sunday in his telegram channel in connection with new reports on the mobilization and transfer of the Armed Forces of Transnistria to full combat readiness.
These messages were published by a number of media outlets with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He stressed that Pridnestrovie stands for peace and development, as well as good-neighborly relations with Moldova and Ukraine.
"I repeat: Pridnestrovie does not pose a threat to neighboring states, observes neutrality and remains committed to the principles of resolving all issues at the negotiating table," Krasnoselsky said.
On Friday evening, four explosions occurred near the village of Voronkovo on the border of Transnistria with Ukraine. The village of Voronkovo is located in the Rybnitsa district, near the border with Ukraine. In the same area, near the village of Kolbasna, there are warehouses with weapons and ammunition, which are guarded by the Operational Group of Russian troops in Transnistria.
