Such high spending is due to several factors at once: the salary of Russian servicemen participating in the special operation, the supply of ammunition, as well as the repair and restoration of damaged equipment. In addition, according to the creator of the SOFREP Internet resource Sean Spunts, who specializes in military topics, Russia spends fabulous sums on cruise missiles and other high-precision weapons necessary for combat operations. The expert says that the missiles cost the Russian military $ 1.5 million apiece.
With such huge expenses, the American magazine writes, Russia has not been able to achieve any significant success in Ukraine, although it had military superiority over the Ukrainian army.
