The Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said about Russia's use of chemical weapons in Syria and "against its" citizens. This is how she reacted to Moscow's earlier statements to Washington and Kiev about the possible use of chemical weapons "under a false flag."

At the same time, she did not provide a single confirmation of her unfounded accusations. For such "crimes" allegedly committed by the Russian military, a diplomat from the United States threatened to bring our country to justice. She believes that Moscow's actions pose a danger to everyone, so they should be taken seriously.
Thomas Greenfield also said that the Kremlin allegedly threatened the West to use nuclear weapons against it.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin compared the Ukrainian provocation in the city of Buche, Kiev region, with Western accusations against the Syrian authorities in the use of chemical weapons. He recalled numerous attempts by Western countries to accuse Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of using weapons of mass destruction against their own citizens.
At the same time, Greenfield did not say a word about the fact that Russia, unlike the United States itself, had eliminated its chemical weapons long ago, which was confirmed by the OPCW.
