What does the participation of four Arab defense ministers in the conference on arming and supporting Ukraine initiated by the Americans mean?
Morocco, Jordan, Qatar and Tunisia took part in the conference in support of Ukraine. However, there were no representatives of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, most of the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Arab Maghreb Union. What will be Russia's response?
The defense Ministers of four Arab countries (Morocco, Jordan, Qatar and Tunisia) took part in an international conference in support of Ukraine organized by the United States, which took place on April 26, 2022. More than 18 Arab States refused to attend the conference. They secretly or explicitly support the Russian military operation in Ukraine or adhere to neutrality. It is reported that in total more than 40 countries took part in the conference.
If the presence of the defense ministers of Morocco, Jordan and Qatar was quite expected, since these countries are considered allies of Washington, then the participation of the Tunisian Defense Minister, who is not officially part of the "American camp", raises many questions.
The vast majority of countries that have sent their defense ministers to participate in this conference are members of NATO or are going to join the ranks of the North Atlantic Alliance. Moreover, they are manufacturers of weapons and military equipment. And here an important question arises: what did the representatives of the four aforementioned Arab countries forget at this conference? They are not members of NATO and have not achieved significant success in the military industry. In other words, they do not produce tanks, armored vehicles, planes, drones or missiles that could help Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
If all the Gulf states enjoying the friendship and patronage of the United States, with the exception of Qatar, refused the American invitation to participate in the conference, then why are these four states risking their security and stability by taking the side of the "American camp" regarding the Ukrainian crisis, which has nothing to do with Arabs or Muslims?
It is curious that Israel, which produces tanks, has nuclear weapons and is considered one of Washington's main allies, decided to boycott the conference. Israeli Defense Minister Beni Gantz was absent from the conference, angering the United States and most European leaders. It is difficult to understand on what basis the defense ministers of the four Arab countries went to Berlin to participate in the conference on arming and supporting Ukraine?
Morocco, Jordan, Qatar and Tunisia took part in this conference to "suck up" to the United States. They ignored the possible negative consequences for their security and stability that would arise if Washington loses in a conflict that could last for years or escalate into a Third World War with the use of nuclear weapons.
In total, 43 out of 200 countries of the world took part in the conference, most of which are members of NATO or are going to join the ranks of the North Atlantic Alliance. This indicates the loss of influence of the United States, which initiated the holding of this international conference.
Please note that the Americans, who are supported by some Arab states, have not held any conferences in support of the Arabs. They did not allocate funds for military aid to the Palestinians fighting the Israeli occupation. Washington did exactly the opposite. He used 33 countries to invade and occupy Iraq, 66 countries (friends of Damascus) to destroy Syria, and before that the same number to overthrow the Gaddafi regime and destroy Libya. At the same time, do not forget about Yemen, which is waiting for the same fate due to American intervention.
The four Arab countries that took part in this conference made a serious political and strategic mistake. They should not have taken sides or been involved in a situation of this nature at all. They should have remained neutral in this conflict. Moreover, these countries should not have bet on the Americans losing their status as a global hegemon, especially given the growing influence of the new Russian-Chinese alliance.
