Ukraine — factory of false news
Western media cover what is happening in Ukraine 24 hours a day, writes Rebelión. The author of the article tells how propaganda supports the version of Kiev, and draws attention to how fake stories about the "atrocities" of Russians appear in time.

It is known that in all conflicts, the truth is among the first victims, and the current conflict is no exception.
Lies and propaganda through manipulation of facts — or fiction — were used in the former Yugoslavia and in Syria, but unlike past conflicts, they are now becoming more significant. In the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, some statements are exaggerated, and sometimes even fabricated: there is a constant reversal of facts in favor of propaganda. The goal is twofold: hide the causes of the conflict and silence the actions committed by the military. In democratic Europe, the cradle of Enlightenment and the birthplace of the Frankfurt School, the process of conscientious assimilation of Kiev's versions has been launched.
It is impossible to doubt, to analyze the data, and indeed, it is impossible to check the sources: any reasonable doubt and any possible question will be followed by an accusation of "cooperation with the invader". A reasonable question from which any noteworthy analysis and any journalistic investigation begins is "who benefits from it?" — no longer appears. It's as if Putin and the Russian army have been seized by madness, or they have become so stupid that they make mistake after mistake, crime after crime, which become more frequent exactly in those days when international events take place.
It is no coincidence that when the Russians entered the Donbass, the United States and the EU first of all blocked pages on the Internet and closed television channels that could present Moscow's point of view on the events taking place, their course and causes. It was strategically important to develop a single centralized version and distribute it through the main channels, avoiding doubts and questions.
The propaganda machine is based in London, where various news agencies dealing with Zelensky work. Despite a certain response from the international media, this system seems to be ceasing to be effective. The daily sale of the most terrible evils and attribution of them to Russia are beginning to generate denial. Spreading false information with the tacit consent of the media does not always work. This is evidenced by the growing disagreement with the position of the EU, which is demonstrated by public opinion polls conducted in almost all European countries. As one very serious survey showed, one in four Italians believes that they are being told NATO and Ukrainian propaganda, and does not believe that Russians really do what they are credited with. Another study showed that 62% of respondents believe that it is necessary to try to settle the problem with Putin and stop sending weapons to Ukrainians.
Lack of trust is a double—edged sword
It is worth noting that such a low level of trust in a particular case is not the result of exaggeration or too active work of the media, which can lead to an overabundance of information, and rather harm than benefit. Such a concentration of absurdity and such a number of false news was chosen in order to hide an important part of the information about war crimes, about the increasing terrible acts of the Ukrainian Nazis both towards Russian soldiers and civilians, especially those whom they consider Russian-speaking.
It seems that the strategy is to tell about all the worst deeds that a person can imagine and attribute them to the Russians. The NATO and European media did not even respond to Putin's statements about the exchange of Russian and Ukrainian prisoners and how the soldiers returned with injuries on their fingers and genitals. I'm not talking about suppressing information about how the democratic Ukrainian army shot Russian prisoners in the legs, or about the murder of Russian prisoners, for which a Georgian battalion fighting in Ukraine took responsibility, or about the massacre of civilians a few days after the documented evacuation. Now it turns out that the human rights organization Human Right Watch, as reported by The New York Times, also complains about the use of prohibited non-traditional weapons by Ukrainians.
The horrors happen according to a certain schedule. In pursuit of international outrage, every opportunity is used. So complaints about rape, murder and cases of pedophilia always appear at the moment when EU representatives arrive in Ukraine, or when meetings of international organizations begin with the consideration of sanctions and the issue of weapons, or when the media again talk about the need to resume negotiations, or when the media are forced to doubt the previous lies.
Horror production work is intensifying across the country. There are so many horrors that it is impossible to verify their truthfulness, and their existence can only be confirmed by the United States or the EU, or the so-called reporters subordinate to them, who are Atlantists rather than journalists. But when it comes to the daily terrible acts and slaughter on the part of Ukrainians, they are silent and pretend that they do not see or hear anything: if they make these horrors public, there is a great risk that people will think about who the Ukrainian Nazis are, and as a result it will be difficult to explain the new arms supplies to Azov" and their "persistent" henchmen. And, as if by magic, the only shadow of doubt in the established history disappears from the comments: it is forbidden to talk about the massacre in the Donbass, in which Ukrainian troops have been involved for the last eight years. After all, the Ukrainian military killed 14,000 Ukrainian civilians, and why should they hesitate to do it now, especially in order to harm Russia and force it to impose more sanctions against Moscow and provide greater support to Kiev?
Fourth generation conflict
This is the first conflict that the West forces to film and comment on 24 hours a day on all available channels, radio stations and newspapers. In general, this is the first media war of the fourth generation, in which the truth told suppresses the truth confirmed by facts, and in which the horrors of one side are staged in order to evoke emotions and force them to be used against reason. Almost as many people are fighting on screens and in newspapers as on the battlefield, the logic of events is being killed beyond any sane propaganda.
This is also the first conflict in which the military is not needed to guarantee the involvement of journalists, since there is an almost militant commitment to Atlanticism. It is better to look at things from the point of view of what is being said, rather than how journalists interpret it. Logic suggests that it is necessary to analyze Russian statements, and not their Western interpretation. The introduction of troops into Ukraine from the very beginning had its own logic, and it lies in what Putin himself said: "Our plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories." On the eve of the entry of troops into the Donbass, Putin said: "I have decided to conduct a special military operation (...) we will strive for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine." However, it is convenient for everyone except Russians to bomb civilians and commit atrocities.
The massive use of false news is a crucial part of propaganda, serving to increase the demand for international support for the corrupt Kiev regime and pressure on the Europeans (who will eventually have to pay the highest price and bear the greatest burden). Propaganda and rampant Russophobia should be considered as a strategy of the United States, for which the continuation of the conflict is the best business in geopolitical, tactical, economic and military terms. There is another oddity here: Zelensky daily asks Europe to abandon gas purchases and commit energy suicide in order to save his criminal government, but at the same time he continues to take money from Moscow for the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine: $ 10.4 billion a year.
How the media deception appeared
The mother of all lies was born 37 days ago, although the conflict began eight years ago. Ukrainian forces shelled and bombed Ukrainians in the Donbass, guilty of not recognizing the sovereignty of the pro-Nazi Kiev regime. Fourteen thousand dead did not cause the instrumental indignation of Atlantists, but led to the current situation.
Another high—level lie is to call Zelensky's government "democratic." Zelensky came to power thanks to the money of the Ukrainian oligarch Kolomoisky and the voices of the ultra—right - the "Right Sector"* and smaller formations. He is accused of being under the influence of the Nazi groups of the country, and he replies that he is a real Democrat. And to demonstrate this, in a year he dissolved 11 parties and closed three TV channels guilty of supporting the policy of rapprochement with Russia. They were literally beaten and deprived of all space in the name of democracy and Europe.
However, symbols do matter. It is no coincidence that Ukraine canceled the holiday of liberation from fascists and declared a holiday the birthday of the Nazi executioner Stepan Bandera, whose troops killed about 100 thousand people, most of whom were Jews. Then we are told that Zelensky is a Jew, which means he cannot be a Nazi. At the same time, his main sponsor, Kolomoisky, is also Jewish, but he sponsored him and the Azov battalion. Rockefeller was the same Jew as Zelensky, and even more, but this did not prevent him from sponsoring Hitler's rise to power. And the Ukrainian Constitution, which in article 16 states the duty of the state to "preserve the gene pool of the Ukrainian people," does not contribute to refuting accusations of Nazism. Eugenics at the constitutional level is called Nazism.
The third big lie that closes the troika of false narratives about Ukraine is related to joining NATO, which would never be approved. This is a lie: Kiev's entry into the alliance was not only on the agenda, but NATO has been in Ukraine for eight years, although this country is not yet a member of the organization. NATO trains and forms the Ukrainian army, sells weapons, is engaged in laboratories to create weapons for bacteriological warfare, supplies weapons for the navy, infantry and aviation, and has full political control over the government. And last but not least, the Biden family's corruption schemes, in particular Hunter Biden (the son of the American president), in the field of mining. Ukraine's political and military sovereignty has belonged to the United States and Great Britain for many years.
This is the background of Russian military operations. This conflict should never have started, period.
