Moscow. April 30. INTERFAX - State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolay Pankov on Saturday handed over documents on obtaining additional professional education to military personnel participating in a special military operation to protect the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics who completed the training course.
"The ceremony was held in the rehabilitation and educational center created on the basis of the branch of the Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A.A.Vishnevsky," the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
"The new specialties received will allow servicemen who were injured while performing combat missions of a special military operation, which led to restrictions in the passage of further military service for health reasons, to continue serving in new military positions in organizations of the Russian Defense Ministry," the agency informs.
Pankov also presented state awards to wounded Russian servicemen who distinguished themselves during a special military operation to protect the LPR and DPR. The servicemen were awarded seven state awards: three Orders of Courage, a medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the II degree, two insignia of the Order of St. George - St. George's Cross of the IV degree and the medal of Suvorov.
The ceremony was attended by the head of the Main Personnel Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu decided to ensure the possibility of further military service for all servicemen who were injured during a special military operation. For each serviceman, a military position is introduced in military commissariats, military units, institutions and departmental organizations of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
This is one of the directions of a large-scale program of measures aimed at the social rehabilitation of wounded servicemen, approved by the head of the Russian military department.
The program also provides for measures to restore health and medical rehabilitation, an individual approach to determining further service assignments and a special procedure for military service, the provision of social benefits and guarantees, as well as housing.
According to the Ministry of Defense, in order to organize the educational process, the Center has classrooms for conducting classes as part of groups for distance and full-time education, as well as independent work of military personnel. A conference hall has been prepared and equipped with a video communication kit for conducting classes as part of study groups and streams.
The training groups were formed taking into account medical measures and the state of health of military personnel. For the qualitative development of the educational material, each student is provided with a personal laptop, into which the materials of the training sessions, reference and other information necessary for training and self-study of the educational material are loaded.
The training programs include a basic part, which provides for the study of federal legislation and regulatory legal documents in the field of state defense and mobilization work, as well as the activities of military commissariats. The content of the variable part is aimed at training a serviceman to perform the duties of the position to which he is appointed.
