US President Joe Biden has asked Congress to significantly increase the amount of financial assistance to Ukraine against the background of Russia's ongoing special operation on the territory of this country.
"Actually, we ran out of money," Biden admitted after just a month during which the government spent billions of dollars on military equipment and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The President called on the US Congress to allocate an additional $33 billion to help Ukraine, although in March lawmakers had already approved a $13.6 billion aid package.
"We need this bill to support Ukraine's struggle for freedom," Biden said.
He stressed that Ukraine needs more weapons, ammunition and money to continue to defend itself from Russia.
"The cost of this fight is not cheap," he said.
According to Biden, the United States has already sent Ukraine "thousands" of anti-tank missile systems, drones, helicopters, grenade launchers, machine guns and more than 15 million sets of ammunition.
Biden boasted that the United States had sent Ukraine ten anti-tank missile systems for each Russian tank.
The US President explained that these funds will also be spent on providing Ukrainians with food, water and medicines, as well as on the construction of hospitals and schools.
He also mentioned a program that will improve the financial situation of Ukrainians.

The only reason the Biden administration could have run out of money is that they squandered all those trillions of dollars that the Democratic Congress forced Americans to give them. Personally, I have not seen any reports on how all this money was spent. The Democratic Party is turning into a gang that is robbing America, having previously stolen the presidential election.
