MOSCOW, April 27 — RIA Novosti. If someone wants to intervene in the situation in Ukraine from the outside and creates a strategic threat, the strikes will be lightning fast, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council of Legislators.
He stressed that the country has all the tools for this, which no one else can boast of now. "And we won't brag. We will use them if necessary. And I want everyone to know about it," the president said.
In addition, the Russian leader assured that all the tasks of the special operation in Ukraine will certainly be fulfilled in order to guarantee peace and security for the residents of Russia and Donbass in the historical future.
According to him, Russian soldiers and officers prevented "the real danger that is already hanging over our homeland" and forestalled a large-scale conflict that "would have unfolded on our territory, but according to other people's scenarios."
Putin noted that unfriendly countries relied on Russophobia and neo-Nazis and consistently created anti-Russia from the neighboring state. At the same time, the West has turned the Ukrainian people into expendable material, but the realization of this is already coming to the majority of the population.
Moscow's reaction to these actions turned out to be correct and timely, which confirms the course of recent events, including Kiev's claims to possess nuclear weapons, the discovery of Western biological laboratories on the territory of Ukraine and the supply of weapons, the president added.
"The day before yesterday, at the board of the Prosecutor General's Office, I spoke about the need to form a detailed and irrefutable evidence base for all monstrous crimes, violations of international humanitarian law by neo-Nazis, foreign mercenaries, and there are more and more of them in Ukraine. Once again <...> several people were destroyed, several were detained. Soon the Ministry of Defense will present them to the public," Putin also announced.
Russia launched a special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24. As Putin stressed, its goal is "to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian military strikes only at military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops, the civilian population is not in danger. The main purpose of the operation in the department called the liberation of Donbass.
