Russian aerospace forces and missile forces continue to strike at military facilities in Ukraine. Nine Ukrainian military facilities were hit by air-launched cruise missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Among them are the command post of the AFU brigade, four strong points and places of concentration of manpower and military equipment and the same number of warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons in the districts of Barvenkovo, Novaya Dmitrovka and Ivanovka of the Kharkiv region.

Operational-tactical and army aviation hit 26 military facilities of Ukraine, including the battalion's command and observation post, as well as 25 areas of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment.
"At the same time, up to 150 nationalists and up to 40 armored vehicles and vehicles were destroyed," Major General Igor Konashenkov added.
Rocket troops and artillery performed 423 firing tasks at night. As a result of the strikes, 26 control points, 367 strong points and areas of accumulation of manpower and military equipment, as well as 25 positions of artillery batteries were hit. Four warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition in the areas of Gusarovka and Velikaya Kamyshevakha were destroyed.
Russian air defense systems shot down ten Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, the Defense Ministry said.
In total, 141 Ukrainian aircraft, 110 helicopters, 551 unmanned aerial vehicles, 264 anti—aircraft missile systems, 2,496 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 282 multiple rocket launchers, 1,093 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 2,343 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the military operation," the Russian ministry said. the defense department.
On the northern flank in the area of Izium, Russian troops are "grinding" Ukrainian forces, which are constantly trying to counterattack, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.
– In the Donetsk direction, our people are trying to slowly, as they say, twist the AFU grouping in the Donbass from the flanks, – the expert said. – In Mariupol, obviously, the main battles are over, and now the militants immured on Azovstal are slowly "reaching". There are also battles going on in the Odessa direction. Apparently, now we are at the stage of the operation, when the enemy is being "ground". I don't see any big offensive yet. In other words, there are battles of attrition – so that the enemy loses equipment, personnel, gets exhausted, gets out of his holes and tries to counterattack, thereby exposing himself.
Not released from the environment
On April 24, the Russian Defense Ministry told about soldiers and officers who showed courage and dedication during the fighting.
Senior Lieutenant Ilya Pakulov acted as part of the battalion tactical group (BTG) of the tank regiment, which was to take control of strategically important dams. Moving in the head patrol, Ilya personally discovered a well-equipped and covered with engineering barriers defensive line. Having assessed the situation, the senior lieutenant decided to move forward on the BMP in order to provoke artillery and mortar fire. This would make it possible to detect the coordinates and transmit them to the main forces. Skillfully maneuvering, Ilya Pakulov opened the enemy's positions and transmitted the coordinates of the firing points, after which he gave the command to withdraw the head patrol from under fire. When exiting the battle, the senior lieutenant's BMP was damaged, and he himself was wounded by fragments of a mortar mine that exploded nearby.
- Despite the injuries received, the Russian officer led the group out from under fire. For this fight, he was awarded the Order of Courage," the military department noted.
In the battles for the liberation of one of the settlements, Major Dmitry Lysenko corrected artillery fire and controlled the results of its work.
- Thanks to the highest professionalism of Dmitry Lysenko, during the ensuing battle, the Russian artillery successfully destroyed the firing positions of the militants, - the Russian Defense Ministry said.

However, the correction post was discovered by enemy aerial reconnaissance and covered by a mortar strike. Despite the shrapnel wound of the shoulder and concussion, the major moved to a reserve position and continued to control the fire.
As a result of the competent and selfless actions of Major Lysenko, the enemy artillery was completely destroyed, which allowed the liberation of the settlement, the Defense Ministry said. There were no losses among the Russian units.
Private Ilya Kochengin, acting as part of the BTG of Russian motorized infantry, participated in the actions to block Ukrainian armed formations in one of the settlements. The encircled nationalists repeatedly made desperate attempts to break through the defenses of the Russian troops, the military department said. During the next attack, the militants inflicted a massive blow on the positions of motorized infantry. Despite the wound received from a shell that exploded nearby, Ilya did not leave the battle, continuing to conduct targeted fire from a grenade launcher at the enemy. The courageous and selfless actions of Private Ilya Kochengin helped to complete the task of blocking the settlement, the Russian military department noted.
