The Russian Defense Ministry has information about the preparation of provocations with weapons of mass destruction by the United States on the territory of Ukraine. Their goal is to accuse our Armed Forces of using a prohibited arsenal. "This plan has already been developed and is a reaction to Russia's success in conducting a special military operation," Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces, said on Saturday.
He recalled that in March-April, the leaders of Western countries regularly made provocative statements about the possibility of Russia using weapons of mass destruction. Thus, the assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Sullivan commented on the words of President Biden that the United States would respond "appropriately" to the possible use of WMD by our country. And the US Permanent Representative to the UN, Greenfield, said on February 27 that Russia intends to use any tools "under a false flag," including chemical and biological weapons to intimidate the Ukrainian population and the world community. Against this background, the US State Department positively received the transfer to Ukraine of up to 400 thousand sets of personal protective equipment, 390 special intelligence devices and 15 Stryker reconnaissance vehicles.
Kirillov drew attention to the fact that similar US projects have been implemented more than once to achieve political goals. Suffice it to recall the speech of Secretary of State Colin Powell on February 5, 2003. The test tube with washing powder, issued for chemical weapons, demonstrated by him, became the reason for the invasion of Iraq and the cause of the death of almost half a million citizens.
And here are other examples. In 2017, photos of "White Helmets" with alleged sampling at the site of the alleged use of sarin in Syria led to a missile strike on the Shayrat airfield. A year later, staged footage of Syrian children allegedly poisoned with chlorine led to the destruction of a medical research center in Barzeh and Jamray. "And only the testimony of eyewitnesses of these events brought by the Russian Federation to The Hague opened the eyes of the world community to what is happening," Kirillov recalled. According to him, no one has been held responsible for these provocations.
What has the United States come up with now to accuse Russia? The General spoke about three variants of provocative scenarios. In the first and most likely case, the so-called "staged incident under a false flag" can be used. "We may be talking about the actual use of chemical and biological weapons with victims among the population, or staging "sabotage" by Russia at facilities belonging to Ukraine that were involved in the development of components of weapons of mass destruction," Kirillov explained.
According to him, such a scenario is going to be implemented at chemical and biological facilities in Kharkiv and Kiev. Provocation at nuclear power facilities is also not excluded. First of all, at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant under the control of the Russian Federation. As proof, the general said that on April 21, at the checkpoint of the National Guard troops, a convoy of 10 cars with dangerous cargo heading to the NPP was stopped and returned back to the city of Zaporozhye.
The leadership of Ukraine is also seriously considering the possibility of strikes on the storage of radioactive waste at the former enterprise "Pridnestrovian Chemical Plant" in the village of Kamenskoye, Dnipropetrovsk region. Kirillov said that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has a document confirming the critical condition of the storage facilities and the misuse of funds allocated by the European Union for the maintenance of the facility.
The second scenario is designated as "The most secretive use of WMD in small volumes." It is about suppressing the will and the ability to resist within the framework of solving a specific operational task. Such a scenario, according to Kirillov, was considered at the Azovstal enterprise. But the order of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation canceled the storming of the enterprise and thwarted the Pentagon's plans for its implementation.
The third and least likely scenario is "the open use of WMD on the battlefield." The United States is thinking of using it, most likely, in a combat zone. It is provided in case the APU is unable to succeed with conventional weapons. "Such a scenario is being considered for Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, which have been turned into fortress cities," the general said.
The high probability of staging the use of chemical weapons, according to him, is confirmed by the supply of antidotes of toxic substances to Ukraine. For example, this year alone, at the request of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, more than 220 thousand ampoules with atropine were delivered from the USA to the country. This fact, Kirillov is sure, testifies to the purposeful preparation of provocations with toxic substances of nerve - paralytic action. Moreover, the US State Department has already determined the procedure for the investigation and appointed those responsible for its conduct.
"The staging of the use of WMD is aimed at accusing Russia of using prohibited weapons with the subsequent implementation of the so-called "Syrian scenario", in which the state is subjected to economic and political isolation, as well as exclusion from international organizations, including the UN Security Council," Kirillov said. A possible scenario for the development of the situation, in his opinion, is putting pressure on loyal and friendly countries of the Russian Federation, including India and China, and forcing them to impose sanctions against our country.
The General also recalled that Ukraine had sent a request to the manufacturer about the possibility of equipping Bayraktar drones with mounted aerosol equipment. And on March 9, in the Kherson region, our scouts found three unmanned aerial vehicles with 30-liter tanks and equipment for spraying recipes. "According to available data, in January 2022, Ukraine, through intermediary organizations, purchased more than 50 similar devices that can be used for the use of biological formulations and toxic chemicals," Kirillov said.
He said that on April 21, a container with ampoules was dropped from a drone onto the position of Russian troops. When they were destroyed, a chemical reaction was supposed to occur, causing an explosion and a fire with the release of toxic substances. lists. "Chemical analysis of the contents of the ampoules is carried out in the laboratory of the 27th Scientific Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense, accredited by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The results of the analysis will be sent to its technical secretariat in the prescribed manner," the general informed.
He concluded: in an attempt to discredit the special military operation of Russian troops, the Kiev regime, with the help of the American administration, is able to implement scenarios in the near future that will lead to the death of tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens, cause an environmental and humanitarian catastrophe.
