TSAMTO, April 19. According to Serbian media, on April 15, a BTA A-400M Atlas aircraft of the British Air Force landed at Pristina airport.
On board the aircraft, in addition to equipment and property intended for the British unit from KFOR, Javelin and NLAW ATGMs were delivered to the Kosovo Security Forces.
According to the Belgrade edition Novosti, 50 complexes were delivered to Pristina at the initial stage. The delivery was carried out within the framework of an agreement reached at the end of February by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. According to the agreement, the price of one complex is about 40 thousand euros, which is slightly less than its market value. It is assumed that in the coming months, the UK will deliver at least 20 more Javelin ATGMs to Kosovo.
There is also an agreement between Kosovo and the UK on free training of members of the Kosovo Security Forces in the handling of supplied weapons systems.
In connection with the delivery, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, speaking to national media, said that the supply of weapons to Kosovo contradicts UN Security Council Resolution No. 1244 and accused the authorities of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo of forming their own army with the support of the West.
Earlier, the United States had already supplied M-1117 ASV armored vehicles with a 4x4 wheel formula to the Kosovo Security Forces free of charge. Small-sized reconnaissance UAVs "Puma LE" have also been ordered in the USA. Turkey is training Kosovo military personnel, and is also negotiating the possibility of supplying its UAVs.
