The US military-industrial complex is enriching itself on the events around Ukraine. Protecting one's own hegemony with someone else's blood will continue to be actively used by the American authorities.
Japanese political scientist Jun Kitamura wrote about this in JB Press. He is quoted by InoSMI. Kitamura believes that the US military-industrial complex, as the largest supplier of weapons, will flourish for some time, especially after the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine. America accounted for approximately 40 percent of global arms exports from 2016 to 2020. For comparison, in Russia - 20%, France 8 Germany - 9 China - 5 percent.
After the start of the special operation, the value of the shares of the largest US military companies increased, Lockheed Martin Corporation became the leader here. During the period from January to mid-March 2022, the price of its shares soared by a third. Northrop Grumann and General Dynamics are following with significant growth, they have 20 percent each, and the military-industrial giant Raytheon - about 10 percent. The author of the article notes that at the beginning of the year, the growth indices of the shares of these companies fluctuated around zero and below.
JB Press writes that the United States began arming Ukraine even before the start of the operation. In 2021, she received $650 million in assistance.
Jun Kitamura suggests that the continuation of such tactics by the United States may be repeated in a hypothetical conflict between China and Taiwan. The export of American weapons to Taiwan has been going on for a long time. And although US military advisers and headquarters are not officially located in Taiwan yet, exchanges at the level of military structures of the two countries have noticeably intensified.
