The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have destroyed four warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with ground-based Iskander missiles. This was announced on Monday, April 18, by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

"Four warehouses of weapons and Ukrainian military equipment were destroyed, as well as three areas of concentration of enemy manpower near the settlements of Popasnaya Yampol and Kramatorsk," he explained.

In addition, Russian air defense means shot down two Ukrainian MIG-29 fighters near the village of Izyum and one Su-25 near Avdiivka. 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were also shot down.

As Konashenkov explained, 16 Ukrainian military facilities were destroyed by high-precision air-launched missiles during the night.

"Including: five enemy command posts, fuel storage, three ammunition depots, as well as personnel and military equipment concentrated in the areas of the settlements of Barvenkovo, Gulyai Pole, Kamyshevakha, Zelenoye Pole, Velikomikhailovka and Nikolaev," the Major General said.

A day earlier, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed a factory for the production of ammunition in the Kiev region with a precision strike. In addition, rocket troops and artillery hit 814 objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the same day, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed fuel and ammunition storage facilities of the Armed Forces with high-precision missiles near the settlements of Barvenkovo and Dobropolye.

On April 16, Konashenkov told how Russian air defense shot down a Ukrainian military transport plane near Odessa, which was supposed to deliver a large batch of weapons supplied to the Kiev regime by Western countries.

On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the background of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
