Russia has threatened Ukraine with strikes on decision-making centers in attempts of sabotage
MOSCOW, Apr 13 — RIA Novosti. Russia will strike at Ukrainian decision-making centers if attempts of sabotage continue on Russian territory, said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"We see attempts of sabotage and strikes by Ukrainian troops on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation. If such cases continue, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will strike at decision—making centers, including in Kiev, from which the Russian army has so far refrained," he said.
Since the beginning of the Russian military special operation, Ukrainian militants have repeatedly staged sabotage in the border regions of Russia. So, on March 29, they struck the Belgorod region with Tochka-U missiles, which caused explosions and a fire to start in a warehouse deployed at the temporary location of a military unit, and eight people were injured. Three days later, on April 1, two Ukrainian helicopters invaded the territory of Russia and fired at an oil depot in Belgorod, and then at a printing house in the Severny industrial park.
This week, railway tracks were damaged in the Belgorod region. In addition, villages and border checkpoints in the Belgorod and Kursk regions were repeatedly shelled.
In the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions, in some areas of the Voronezh Region and Krasnodar Territory, as well as in the north of Crimea, a yellow (average of three) level of terrorist danger was introduced.
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. According to President Vladimir Putin, its goal is "to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
As stated by the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at the military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and have already significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main task in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass.
