According to radio intercepts, there are a significant number of foreign mercenaries in Mariupol. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
According to him, they are in the occupied areas of the city together with the Nazis from the Azov battalion banned in the Russian Federation and the remnants of the Ukrainian armed forces. Konashenkov said that radio conversations, in addition to Ukrainian and Russian, are conducted in six other languages, mainly European.
He noted that the defenders of the so-called "European values" are not blocked in the city now. There are foreign mercenaries there who came to "kill Slavs for American dollars." At the same time, hiding behind a "human shield" of civilians.
