Moscow. April 7. INTERFAX - The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that American portable anti-aircraft missile systems Stinger were found on the territory of the Ukrainian city of Izyum taken under the control of Russian troops.
These complexes, as well as Ukrainian-made weapons, were seized by Russian units on the territory of the Izyum Instrument-making Plant, the Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"The airmobile forces and militants of the nationalist battalions of Ukraine turned the territory of the plant into a fortified area and held the defense there. A few days ago, the enemy from these fortified areas was knocked out by Russian units," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"On the territory of the enterprise, samples of Western-made weapons left during the retreat by the Kiev regime formations were found: portable Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, various anti-tank systems, as well as weapons and ammunition of Ukrainian production," the message says.
"Also, documentation, drawings and magazines were found on the territory of the plant, which reflect the involvement of NATO countries in joint projects in the development of units and parts in the design of new models of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine)," the Defense Ministry said.
