Igor Korotchenko: Targeted strikes on key transport facilities of Ukraine are necessary

After the provocation in the city of Bucha and the decision of Western countries to supply the Kiev regime with heavy weapons, the question of the need to destroy logistics and transport infrastructure in the regions of Ukraine bordering NATO states became even more obvious.

We are talking about objects and roads through which and along which such an arsenal can be delivered to the front edge. Highways and railways, bridges and other crossings, major transport hubs and interchanges must be constantly under the control of our military. It is necessary to make sure that no supplies of weapons and equipment can be carried out on them in principle. This can only be achieved by applying large-scale targeted missile strikes to logistics and transport facilities. Disabling them will not allow Ukraine to receive and receive such cargo from the West.

At the same time, it should be understood that such infrastructure should be disabled exclusively on the territory of Ukraine. Intelligence, for example, reported that military equipment has already moved 500-600 meters from the western borders of the country - it's time to hit it with high-precision long-range missiles. But not to attack it at the moment of overload, for example, from one train echelon to another at the very border. There is a danger that the strike will be on the territory of a NATO country. In my opinion, it is not worth provoking a conflict with the Alliance in this way.

It is clear that this requires real-time tracking of everything that is happening in Western Ukraine. Our intelligence is good, but it is not omnipotent either. Therefore, it is already necessary to identify all possible transport corridors for the delivery of Western weapons and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and make them unsuitable for such traffic. I repeat: it is necessary to hit railway stations, crossings, bridge structures, including on Ukrainian highways. Given our complete dominance in the air, it will not be difficult to solve such a task.

It's not enough just to bomb the roads, it's easy to get them into working condition. But it will not be possible to quickly restore bridges and crossings

Just bombing the roads, in my opinion, is not enough. With current technologies, they can be brought into working condition fairly quickly. But it will not be possible to quickly restore bridges and crossings.

Strikes on key transport facilities will solve another problem. It is no secret that in order to deliver the Western arsenal to the front edge, Ukrainians are going to a cynical trick - they pick up wagons with weapons and ammunition, as well as platforms with military equipment to passenger trains. They know that our military will not attack such echelons in order to avoid the mass death of civilian passengers. But when there is a destroyed bridge on the route of the train, the train, of course, will get up and will not go further. Passengers will remain alive, and military equipment will not reach their destination. So, the task is completed.

This is also connected with the suppression of the supply of fuel to the APU. You can customize tanks and other armored vehicles to Kiev as much as you want. No one needs them without fuel. The Russian army systematically destroys oil refineries, large fuel depots and fuel supply bases of Ukrainian troops with complexes "Caliber", "Dagger", "Iskander", "Bastion". They can actually be used to eliminate the supply of fuel by rail or highways, including from the West.

Definitely - it is necessary to hit the capital bridges. If the APU tries to direct them with the help of its engineering means, we will also destroy temporary crossings. This, by the way, is also important to prevent the transfer of AFU reserves from western Ukraine to Donbass.

Sometimes there are doubts: they say, will our high-precision missiles be enough for all such objects? I can reassure the doubters: the Russian Armed Forces have a reserve of such weapons of destruction. And the country's military-industrial complex is working like clockwork.
