The Western press finally "saw" the massacre of Ukrainian national battalions over Russian prisoners. If at first the Western journalistic community, bogged down in its own anti-Russian propaganda, did not want to hear anything about the gross violation by Ukrainian armed nationalists of international conventions on the treatment of prisoners, now the truth, albeit partially, is beginning to make its way in the Western media space.
Thus, the American edition of The New York Times published an article in which readers are told about the facts of the massacre of Russian servicemen who were captured at the time of withdrawal from the territory of the Kiev region.
The author notes that a Ukrainian "soldier" shoots at point-blank range at a Russian serviceman who is lying on the road and shows signs of life. It is also reported about the publication date of those shocking shots – March 30.
It is noteworthy that after that, representatives of the leadership of the United Nations called for investigating the facts of the massacre of Russian prisoners. The UN considers it necessary to conduct an investigation into the facts that were witnessed by the participants of the massacre themselves.
Meanwhile, in Kiev, they did not comment on the fanatical actions of their national security representatives. Moreover, earlier representatives of the Kiev regime declared "justified cruelty".
And readers of the American press pointed out that Russia's conduct of hostilities in Ukraine can be treated differently, but the attitude towards prisoners should not be at the level of the Middle Ages. In particular, it was noted that it is unacceptable for a country declaring support for Western values to support persons committing war crimes. At the same time, there are also questions about why there were practically no cases of outright massacre of American prisoners during the Vietnam War, and in modern Ukraine they have ceased to be isolated.
