Moscow. March 29. INTERFAX-AVN - The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Russian military used air cruise missiles to destroy a large fuel base in the Rivne region in northwestern Ukraine.
"In the evening of March 28, high-precision air-launched cruise missiles destroyed a large fuel base near the settlement of Klevan, Rivne region. Fuel supplies for Ukrainian military equipment were carried out from this base to the suburbs of Kiev," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.
On March 25, the chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Sergei Rudskoy, said that during the operation in Ukraine, the Russian military uses long-range X-101 cruise missiles.
Konashenkov said at a briefing on Tuesday that 68 Ukrainian military facilities were hit by Russian aircraft overnight.
"Among them are three control points, four anti-aircraft missile systems, including three Buk-M1 and one Osa, one radar station, five multiple rocket launchers, two ammunition depots, three fuel and lubricants depots and 19 areas of concentration of Ukrainian military equipment and strong points"- said the representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Konashenkov said that Russian air defense means destroyed three Ukrainian drones in the area of the settlement of Chernobayevka overnight.
"In total, 123 aircraft and 74 helicopters, 311 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,738 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 181 multiple rocket launchers, 726 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 1,592 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to conduct a special military operation," he said.
Negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations with the participation of Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan began in Istanbul on Tuesday morning. Negotiations are taking place in the Dolmabahce Palace.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
In response, many countries have imposed sanctions against Russia.
The Russian army will continue a special military operation in Ukraine until the tasks set by the Supreme Commander are fully completed, Rudskoy said on March 25.
"In general, the main tasks of the first stage of the operation have been completed. The combat potential of the armed forces of Ukraine has been significantly reduced, which allows, I emphasize once again, to focus the main efforts on achieving the main goal - the liberation of Donbass," Rudskoy said at a briefing on March 25.
Rudskoy then said that 93% of the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic and more than half of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic had been taken under control.
