Combat reports in which the Russian Defense Ministry talks about the course of a special military operation in Ukraine indicate that Russian troops and units of the People's republics are methodically moving forward. The list of settlements liberated from nationalists is expanding daily. The losses of the Armed Forces are multiplying, including in the deep rear.
Yesterday, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov said that large ammunition depots in the areas of the settlements of Ushomir and Veselovka of the Zhytomyr region were destroyed by high-precision cruise missiles of the sea-based Kalibr. From there, the supply of a group of Ukrainian troops in the suburbs of Kiev was carried out.
Our troops wedged another 2 kilometers deep into the defense of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and reached the southern outskirts of Novoselovka. And the units of the Luhansk People's Republic advanced 5 kilometers, captured the settlements of Ivanovka, Novosadove and reached the border of Novolyublino, Terny.

According to General Konashenkov, during the day, tactical aviation hit 41 military facilities of Ukraine. Among them are two multiple rocket launchers, one electronic warfare station, two field ammunition depots and 24 strong points and areas of concentration of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Our Air Force and air defense forces shot down three more Ukrainian combat aircraft in the air yesterday. Two Su-24 bombers were destroyed west of the village of Korosten in the Zhytomyr region. And the Su-25 attack aircraft is over the settlement of Druzhkovka in the Donetsk region.
Konashenkov also said that a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down near Mariupol, five kilometers from the coastline over the Sea of Azov. Later it became known that he was sent for the emergency evacuation of the commanders of the Azov national battalion, banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist, who had abandoned their subordinates.
"In addition, a Ukrainian drone was shot down near the village of Cheronobayevka," the general added.
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry showed a video of how the combat crews of the Buk-M3 air defense complex and the Nebo-SV radar station working with it in tandem operate in Ukraine. Explanations for the camera were given by the deputy commander of the battery named Vladimir.
According to him, the main targets for the Buk-M3 are now Bayraktar drones. During the special operation, the officer's combat crew has already shot down two such drones, for which Vladimir was awarded the medal "For Military Valor". We also have to work on unmanned scouts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "We have learned to classify "Bayraktars" and "Leleks" unmistakably. As well as to determine the state ownership of the drone in a few seconds," Vladimir said.
He admitted that it was unusual to deal with drones at first. During the exercises, the anti-aircraft gunners worked on larger and faster targets. "On the indicators, the mark from the UAV is practically not moving. She is so small that sometimes it is difficult to see her and take her on escort. In addition, such targets constantly change the flight path," the officer shared.
Ruslan, the head of the radar calculation, told about the "eyes" of anti-aircraft gunners - the Nebo-SV radar station. For 6 downed Ukrainian drones, he was also awarded the medal "For Military Valor". According to the officer, the radar determines the azimuth, range, altitude and state ownership of aircraft in all altitude ranges and within a radius of several hundred kilometers.
"The station is wonderful. All-weather. Detects enemy drones and planes in any conditions. And also, as the operation in Ukraine confirmed, it copes perfectly with the interference caused by the APU," Ruslan said.
We add that the Buk-M3 air defense system and the Nebo-SV radar showed themselves perfectly even before the events in Ukraine. It is known from open sources that this complex was created on a new element base. It can simultaneously fire at up to 36 targets flying at a speed of 3 kilometers per second. Each launcher is ready to work on six aerial objects, while the launch of missiles takes place with an interval of only two seconds.
The minimum height of hitting the target from the Buk-M3 is 15 meters, the maximum is 35 km. The division, as a rule, includes a command post, a detection and target designation station, transport-launching and transport-loading vehicles, as well as launchers accommodating 6 or 12 anti-aircraft guided missiles.
As for the Nebo-SV radar, we can add to Ruslan's story: she will detect an enemy fighter even in the stratosphere from a range of up to 350 km. And an aerial target at a half - kilometer altitude will be escorted for 60 km . But the main advantage of this radar, which Ruslan mentioned, is the presence of an interrogator of the "friend-foe" system with its own antenna.
However, let's return to the special military operation. General Konashenkov reported that 123 aircraft and 74 helicopters, 309 drones, 1721 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 172 multiple rocket launchers, 721 field artillery guns and mortars, 1568 units of special military vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
