Huanqiu shibao (China): they look white and fluffy, but in reality? The "Seven deadly sins" of the United States in the Ukrainian crisis

The United States pretends to be "saints" and advocates morality, but they are the culprits of the Ukrainian crisis, writes Huanqiu Shibao. The author of the article lists the "seven deadly sins" of America, which prove that its favorite tactic is to add fuel to the fire and sow chaos everywhere.

Observing the current situation in Ukraine, we clearly see that America is the initiator of the crisis, but at the same time pretends to be a "saint" and advocates morality.

In the last few days, the United States has loudly declared that "freedom will always defeat tyranny," demanding that the whole world support Ukraine and oppose Russia. The US also falsely accused China of being an "accomplice" of Russia and asked to stand on the right side of history.

The facts should not be distorted, black and white cannot be reversed, but America arbitrarily distorts the objective narrative and the collective memory of the Ukrainian issue! Today we will look at the "seven deadly sins" that the United States committed during the Ukrainian crisis, and we will see what is really hidden behind the guise of a "pseudo-saint".

Spreading Cold War Myths and Exacerbating global Problems: The Arrogance of American Democracy

The end of the Cold War was the "unipolar moment" of the victory of the United States, when the foundations of American arrogance and prejudice were laid, which is the binary hypothesis of "democracy versus authoritarianism".

For decades, the United States has created conditions for splits and confrontations everywhere, which was accompanied by one humanitarian catastrophe after another. For example, during the Cold War, America, adhering to anti-Soviet and anti-communist "McCarthyism", forcibly divided the world into two parts. The Bush administration forced the world to choose a side, saying that those who do not support the United States "approve of terrorism." Playing the great power, the Trump administration incited the "free world" to launch a new "crusade" against the "rogue states", further tearing the world apart.

With regard to the Ukrainian issue, the United States initiated five consecutive rounds of NATO expansion to the east, squeezing Russia's security space as much as possible. The ultimate goal is to weaken and defeat Russia with the help of a military quagmire and sanctions. The current situation in Ukraine is a reflection of the Cold War mentality on the geographical map of Europe.

Provoking geopolitical conflicts and threatening world peace: the hypocrisy of the American Alliance

America is well-versed in "offshore balancing". Last year, the alliance of Europe and the United States has not yet moved away from the discord of the Trump era, and one by one it was attacked: the scandal of America's use of Danish intelligence to spy on European politicians, the hasty withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan and the order by the United States of French nuclear submarines.

In order to link Europe as soon as possible from the point of view of security and strategy, the United States, at the cost of Ukraine and European interests, provokes conflicts, "adds fuel to the fire" in Ukraine, thereby severing ties between Europe and Russia and firmly binding European allies to itself.

So Europe lost Nord Stream 2 and other key cooperation projects with Russia and abandoned its strategic autonomy, following the United States and imposing large-scale anti-Russian sanctions. Europe is increasingly mired in crises that cover numerous areas – the economy, energy, the refugee problem and security.

In his interview, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrel, admitted that the European Union made mistakes in the development of relations with Russia and missed the opportunity to improve relations with Russia.

Blowing smoke in the eyes of public opinion and waging an information war: the duplicity of the American "truth"

Blocking information, substitution of concepts and distortion of facts is a common tactic of the United States media war. The situation in Ukraine has become the first large-scale information war in the era of social networks. In the West, they are bringing the information offensive to maximum intensity, they are unrestrainedly concocting fake news and continue to attack the websites of the Russian government. Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton openly called on hackers to start an information war against Russia, just as it was in the era of the "Arab Spring".

Facebook*, Twitter, Youtube and other Western social platforms have once again torn down the veil of "freedom of speech", banned official Russian media from posting information, blocked pro-Russian accounts and voluntarily became a "hotbed of anti-Russian sentiment."

What is even more disgusting: some American politicians, think tanks and the media also took advantage of the hype to promote conspiracy theories related to China, such as "China knew everything even before Russia launched a special operation" and "China is ready to provide military and economic assistance to Russia", trying to stipulate it and make an accomplice.

Sucking the blood out of the world economy and getting rich on someone Else's Misfortune: the Greed of Dollar Hegemony

With the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the global stock market has experienced major shocks, energy prices have risen sharply, international food prices have reached a record level in 11 years, and the disorder in the production and supply chains has intensified.

A recent report published by the UN Conference on Trade and Development noted that the current situation has led to higher prices for food, fuel and chemical fertilizers and a rapid deterioration in the prospects for the global economy. The situation in Africa and the least developed countries is also of concern. Increased financial instability and rising costs of world trade have an impact on the global economy. Data from the Oxford Institute of Economic Policy show that if the situation in Ukraine drags on for a long time, the inflation rate in the eurozone may exceed 7%, and in the UK - 10%.

This situation is beneficial for America. After the conflict began, American stocks rose sharply, the military industry and energy exports expanded. Thus, we can say that the United States is profiting from the difficulties of the European Union. The US Federal Reserve has announced an increase in the base interest rate, which further increases the risk of a financial crisis.

Undermining the foundations of morality by "adding fuel to the fire" and "passing the knife": "double standards" of human rights in the American way

The United States considers itself a "defender of human rights", but at the same time it is always involved in unleashing conflicts and starting riots. Wherever you look, there are social unrest in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and other countries where America has "got into" based on the principle of observing the so-called universal values. The region and even the whole world are paying the price for this chaos.

Since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, the United States has been exerting pressure and "adding fuel to the fire." Before the situation escalated, they supported the Ukrainian authorities in the implementation of the "blitzkrieg" against Donbass, sold weapons to Ukraine in large quantities and trained soldiers. Subsequently, America encouraged Poland, Germany and other countries in providing Ukraine with military assistance, has stepped up sanctions against Russia and increased the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and also took a leading role in providing "suffocating" pressure on Russia.

At the time of the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the United States sent the missile destroyer Ralph Johnson through the Taiwan Strait and organized an inter-party delegation to visit Taiwan, thereby trying to stir up the water in the Taiwan Strait.

Hiding biological weapons and ignoring the fate of humanity: terrifying American "secrets"

Biological weapons have long been banned by the international community because of their extreme danger and uncontrollability. According to information disclosed by Russia, the United States has hundreds of military biological laboratories around the world, many of which are located in the former Soviet Union, and almost 30 laboratories are located in Ukraine. In his televised address, Vladimir Putin bluntly stated that components of biological weapons were being created on the territory of Ukraine with the support of the United States.

Faced with the accusations, America first expressed itself vaguely about "false information", and then got off with the words: "We fulfilled the agreement." Recall that after World War II, the United States sheltered Japanese war criminals, among them the head of the 731 Ishii Shiro detachment, in order for them to develop biological weapons for the United States. During the Korean War, America dumped mice, fleas, mosquitoes and cockroaches infected with pathogenic bacteria. In addition, over the past 20 years, the United States has been exclusively opposed to the creation of a multilateral verification mechanism of the Biological Weapons Convention. Looking at these past crimes, the question arises, does the United States really not study and store biological weapons? America should give the world a clear explanation.

Receiving dividends from the war and switching attention from internal contradictions: the Struggle of the fading American hegemony

Provoking external wars and switching attention from internal contradictions is an old way of getting rid of problems in America. As Vladimir Ilyich Lenin said, imperialism is war. Whenever imperialism falls into a political or economic crisis, it unleashes a war to switch attention and get out of the crisis.

Now the United States is deeply immersed in an institutional impasse associated with political polarization, inequality between rich and poor, ethnic conflicts, social unrest and the instability of the epidemic situation. In the face of the loss of hegemony, the only way out that can help "prolong its life" is to provoke external conflicts.

The price of war is high and cruel – the fire of war, civilian casualties and the separation of families and the fragmentation of countries. In addition to the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the sanctions imposed by the United States against Russia have negatively affected the global production and supply chain, which has already suffered against the background of the epidemic. It's hard for people all over the world right now. In this regard, during a conversation with the American President, the Chinese President noted that ordinary people suffer from the introduction of comprehensive and indiscriminate sanctions.

"America is sick, and the whole world is taking medicines" - this situation will soon come to naught. As soon as the noise subsides, the world will eventually see the selfishness and hypocrisy of the United States.

If you look back at history, you can see that the United States is constantly undermining the regional and global order, starting with the war in the Middle East and ending with the "Arab Spring", from the "color revolution" in Eurasia to the new "Monroe Doctrine" in Latin America.

The United States ardently aspires to world hegemony. In the direction of the Atlantic, they are "adding fuel to the fire", tying European countries to the war chariot and creating security dilemmas. In the Pacific direction, together with Japan, Australia and other allies, they are trying to undermine the security situation in the Asia-Pacific region and suppress China. The "Seven Deadly Sins" in the Ukrainian crisis, presented above– is just one episode of the series called "The desire of the United States for hegemony."

Don't forget that where there is oppression, there is resistance. The world has entered a new "era of awakening", where historically it is necessary to rely on one's own strength and capabilities, strive for mutual respect and common development. If the United States continues to indulge in the old dreams of its hegemony and the confrontation of the camps, it will eventually lead to new global conflicts and catastrophes.
