Joseph Biden asked for help from Xi Jinping in the fight against Russia
The two-hour teleconference talks between the US President and the Chinese President touched upon key strategic security issues, including special military operations of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine. The statement of this fact is perhaps the only common point in the coverage of the March 18 event by the Anglo-Saxon and Chinese mass media. Everything that is written by them then goes in opposite directions.
The Western press focuses on the warning to Beijing not to provide Moscow with the material assistance necessary to achieve a military victory over Kiev. According to data allegedly transmitted to journalists by representatives of the intelligence community, China received a corresponding request and agreed to provide the Russian army with certain types of weapons, including advanced types of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The authors of the relevant publications claim that this and other Chinese assistance is needed by Russian troops who are allegedly "stuck in heavy battles with the AFU." These statements do not stand up to objective criticism from experts familiar with military affairs, and are obviously thrown into the information flow with an understandable purpose – disinformation and manipulation of public opinion. Washington demands not to provide material assistance to Russia in overcoming the consequences of economic sanctions imposed by the West and conducting a special military operation. Otherwise, unprecedented sanctions will be brought down on China and its economy will be pulverized.
Simultaneously with the threats, Xi Jinping is recommended to "commit to using your influence to protect an order based on international rules and principles, to which you yourself proclaim your commitment." Otherwise, the West threatens "international isolation" of the type that has already been assigned to Vladimir Putin.
Joseph Biden assured the interlocutor that "the United States is not looking for a new Cold war, changes in China's governance system, a stronger alliance against it, supporting Taiwanese separatism or another conflict with China." Xi Jinping reacted to the assurances of the owner of the White House that he takes these words "very seriously." It remains "only" to make sure of sincerity.
Washington, in words seeking to gain greater understanding and support from Beijing, will have to be tested for openness on a very important topic – the US military biological program. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Americans have located 26 laboratories in Ukraine alone, where, with the support of the Pentagon and structures controlled by it, local specialists conducted research in the field of the spread of dangerous infectious diseases. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation provided a map with the location of laboratories, the names of some projects implemented there and other details of malicious activity.
The China Daily newspaper published an editorial with an appeal to conduct a "thorough international investigation with the participation of many parties," and to Washington to "report on its activities on this topic." Similar publications have appeared in many Chinese media. It is said that the United States is "secretly actively engaged in the research of pathogenic viruses and bacteria," using more than 330 laboratories around the world. At the same time, the opened network is only the "tip of the iceberg of the biological military empire."
The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that experiments with coronavirus samples were conducted in biolabs in Ukraine created and funded by the United States. Documents were found that indicated that "work on pathogens of birds, bats and reptiles is planned for 2022, with a further transition to studying the possibility of their transmission of African swine fever and anthrax."
The US Permanent Representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, responded with the words: "This is all disinformation spread by Russia... a sign of her desperation." Beijing thinks otherwise. At a meeting in Rome with National Security Adviser Sullivan, his counterpart Yang Jiechi repeated the Russian position on laboratories and called Washington to account. The Americans retired for reflection, giving the press the following comment. "There are many signs that the Chinese are doing a lot behind the screen for the sake of supporting Russia in all sectors: financial, economic and military, which is very upsetting."
At the UN Security Council, it was said: military biological experiments have been conducted on Ukrainian territory since 2005. Chinese representative Zhang Jun said that the facts made public should be taken "with all seriousness" and considered in the context of the global security of the world community, and the parties involved should answer the questions posed to them in a timely, complete and clear manner, seeking to dispel any suspicions. Speaking at the Security Council, he raised the topic of direct negotiations as a basis for resolving the current crisis: "Our demand is immeasurable. There should be no double standards on this topic."
Such a statement of the question alerted Washington. They believe that Xi Jinping does not listen to them, because back in February he "concluded a pact with Putin" with the intention of weakening the power and influence of the United States. The Global Times tabloid has published an editorial column with the headline "China-Russia relations are the most important strategic achievement that US provocation cannot harm." It is claimed that Washington seeks to use the topic of the conflict in Ukraine to create a split between Beijing and Moscow. "Close relations between China and Russia have always been a hindrance for the American side," the newspaper notes.
