Junge Welt (Germany): Burbok's assistants. German mercenaries in Ukraine
The "change of epochs" proclaimed by Scholz is becoming a reality, writes the author Junge Welt. Berbok, who adheres to anti-Russian views, openly admits her desire to take a leading role in the EU. The Minister is sure that Germany is trusted in the world. As the author notes, she is not at all embarrassed by the fact that some countries do not share this opinion.
For the first time since 1945, Germans with weapons in their hands, including at least one regular soldier of the Bundeswehr, fired at Russian soldiers and killed ten or eleven of them. The "change of epochs" proclaimed by Olaf Scholz becomes a reality – in the speech of his Foreign Minister on the "Development of a national security strategy", delivered on Friday, as well as in a large, business-style article in which the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper casually reports about this murder.
The concept of Burbok, German mercenaries in Ukraine and a report where their combat "successes" are portrayed as something normal – links of the same chain. The Foreign Minister has been acting like an anti-Russian mouthpiece for years, and now she is close to her first goal. When asked by the host of the TV show "Topics of the Day" Aline Abboud on Friday whether the German government, based on the concept of Berbok, "wants to take a more clearly defined leadership role in the EU or even within NATO," she laconically replied: "Yes, definitely yes." According to her, "we" are the strongest economy in the EU, and in NATO, together with the United States, "one of the strongest economic nations," which means that "we must take on a special responsibility." The power of Germany is a sufficient reason for the next German war against Moscow: we are doing this because we can.
Because the one who is able to pay 100 billion euros for pre-equipment, and in the future from 70 to 80 billion annually for the Bundeswehr, naturally, according to Berbock, should lead the rest. Western arms supplies to the Kiev government are estimated at billions, the EU and NATO are actually participants in what is happening. Only militants with Western passports were missing. The militant mood among the population of Western countries as in 1999 ("genocide"), in 2001 ("Al-Qaeda"*) and in 2003 ("weapons of mass destruction") reached the proper level with the help of the mass media, so that now we can shoot ourselves. And what a fantastic picture Berbok painted in the "Topics of the Day": "We are incredibly trusted in the world," because we relied "on cooperation, diplomacy and humanitarian assistance." It does not matter that some Asian, Arab and African countries have a different view of this.
It is unknown how many German mercenaries followed the Ukrainian president's call to join his Foreign Legion. Estimates range from a few hundred to tens of thousands. But one thing is clear: the federal government pretends that it does not know anything and allows the Ukrainian embassy to work as an employment bureau, and also does not build obstacles to the Nazis patronized by the German special services, some of whom served for years in the fascist Azov regiment.
The article in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung ends with a message from among the mercenaries: "There are four fewer of us." Berbok's assistants are also Berlin cannon fodder. This also fits into the German tradition, especially when it comes to campaigns against Russia.
