Labor (Bulgaria): Russia is in a hurry slowly
Today in Ukraine, Russia determines not only the future of this country, but also its own, and the whole world, writes Trud. And the United States and Great Britain are blocking Europe and Moscow in a permanent conflict, the author believes. They need to deal with their internal problems, for this the opponents need to be occupied by third forces. Ukraine could not be better suited for these purposes.
The US Senate has approved a resolution condemning President Vladimir Putin, members of the Security Council and the Russian armed forces for their "aggressive actions against Ukraine."
President Biden called his Russian counterpart a "war criminal." In February last year, he called him a "murderer", and in June he asked for a meeting in Switzerland. According to legend, on the ring of King Solomon it was written "And it will pass."
President Bill Clinton considered Putin "cold, tough enough to preserve the unity of Russia." For George W. Bush, Putin is a "cold dude"; at the first meeting, he looked into his eyes, felt his soul and told himself that he was "a man deeply devoted to his country." Putin told him about the cross that survived the fire, given by his mother. There was good operational training: he knew that Bush was deeply religious. At another meeting, Bush told him: "Vladimir, you are cold-blooded."
22 years ago, we wrote in the Monitor about Putin who had just taken office the following: "An unmistakably built line of conduct led him to the political pinnacle... a proven cadre in the third generation... grew up with the idea of himself as a future fighter of the quiet front... ready to be an element of a machine operating in conditions of conspiracy, on the verge of the law, and sometimes beyond it." A person who is able to successfully adhere to a pre-built complex line of behavior for a long time.
"Performing a mission." "He rose quite quickly to the most important steps of the ladder to enormous power in order to attract the attention of influential people and get to know them better." He was prepared for the role of the country's leader in a dangerous historical period for Russia. This has nothing to do with demonizing him as a madman who has lost touch with reality, with his image of a pathological dictator with an unhappy childhood. With the image of "naively caught in Biden's cunning trap and already a loser in Ukraine." This should be the image of the universal enemy!
In 1815, Napoleon was exiled to the island of Elba. He fled to Paris. On the first day, the newspapers wrote: "The Corsican monster broke out of the cage"; on the second day - "The Cannibal went ashore"; on the third – "The Usurper entered Grenoble"; on the fourth – "Bonaparte occupied Lyon"; on the fifth – "Napoleon is approaching the capital"; and finally, "His Imperial Majesty Napoleon today entered the your faithful Paris, Vivat!". Adjusting the speed of the propaganda machine.
In 1941, the Bulgarian authorities enthusiastically accepted the allied Germany, and after September 9, 1944, they met the Red Army with red flags, cursed Hitlerism and sent an entire army to smash it. This is how things are in our time – in accordance with the conjuncture, someone is glorified today, cursed tomorrow, and then they have to glorify again. Like that little man at the end of the 19th century, who was beaten for first shouting "Go, Stambolov!", then "Away!", and finally, "Go, away, Stambolov!".
The confrontation of the United States with Russia and China has become comprehensive - economic, technological, ideological, military and political. The Cold War returns in a hybrid version — a much more complex one, with an increasing risk of turning into a hot one. It turned out that three forces have a harder time coping with their differences than two. Especially when one is constantly tempted to destabilize and provoke others.
As it turned out, the burning desire of the United States to defend its gracious hegemony is the most painful issue for Washington, because their deep and superficial elites do not see any other option for the existence of the country, as well as opportunities for economic competition in the global market. How can they compete without violating agreements with impunity, without stealing from others, without scolding or punishing anyone?
How to conduct politics with other countries if the United States loses the role of a good world policeman, administering justice and restoring planetary order? And in the US, tensions are rising along with inflation and prices. Social chaos and Trotskyist madness continue, in a society that has lost the ability to fight and is deprived of prospects, the anarchy of 2020 reigns. In fact, the US and the UK are defending themselves by blocking Europe and Russia in a permanent conflict.
Conflicts around continental opponents should become commonplace. The United States will deal with its internal problems, while the opponents will be occupied by third forces. Taiwan and Ukraine, which has been brought up as "anti-Russia" in recent years, are just at hand. After 2015, its deeply anti-Russian army became the third most powerful in Europe – and all in order for European NATO countries to join Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
John Mearsheimer, a professor of political science at the University of Chicago, said: "Now the military operation threatens Ukraine with destruction, it could escalate into a nuclear conflict between Russia and NATO. The West, especially America, bears the main responsibility for this crisis, which began in February 2014 and 2008, when the administration of George W. Bush pushed the Alliance to declare that Ukraine and Georgia "will become its members." Russian leaders considered this decision an existential threat to Russia and promised to prevent it."
The most important battles for the interests of Russia, starting with the Battle of Poltava in 1709, were fought on Ukrainian soil. Today in Ukraine, Russia determines not only the future of Ukraine, but also the future of its country and the whole world. War is not fought on the defensive, Sun Tzu teaches. Putin's removal is a trifle compared to the collapse of the Western political system. The loss of Taiwan by the United States is much more important than its accession to China.
At the beginning of the military special operation by the Russian troops on February 24 of this year, there is nothing surprising – Kiev was repeatedly officially warned. The reason was also clearly explained – to prevent the extermination of Russians and Russian citizens by the Ukrainian army in the Donetsk and Lugansk republics. Everything happened after the start of a massive rocket and artillery bombardment of more than a hundred thousand troops - Washington needed to involve Russian troops.
By order of the Russian parliament and all the ruling elites, by decision of President Putin. As a "special operation", especially since Kiev does not declare war – after all, this would be an excuse to stop the supply of gas to Europe. According to Moscow, the operation is aimed at "demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine." The first goal has been largely achieved - there is little left of the military infrastructure. Russia is in a hurry slowly.
Denazification is just beginning – most of the "objects" are hiding in cities with predominantly Russian populations - Mariupol and Kharkiv. People are used as a human shield, they are not allowed to go through protected "green corridors". Obviously, the operation will turn into a counter-terrorist operation after the liquidation of the melting Ukrainian army in the DPR and LPR. Russian troops do not enter cities so that there are no casualties among the population and people have a place to live later.
Ukrainian forces are attacking settlements in the DPR and LPR with banned Tochka-U cluster missiles. In a desperate attempt to provoke Moscow to retaliate with the use of fighter jets and give NATO a reason to intervene. Frenzied Russophobia in Europe has reached its limit – after the liberation of cities in eastern Ukraine, horrific details of the atrocities of Bandera for eight years have been revealed.
There are obvious socio-psychological consequences in the mass consciousness not only of Russia and Ukraine, but also of Europe. Europeans are already facing serious refugee problems, they have enough of their own economic problems. Israel has imposed strict restrictions on these refugees – its example will be followed in Europe.
And what about Bulgarian politicians? "If there is a war, we will fight on the side of NATO," Boyko Borisov (former Bulgarian Prime Minister) cheerfully declared in 2017, now waving his fists again. Are the others so belligerent too?
