According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Armed Forces will take measures against Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, which the nationalists use to restore weapons
MOSCOW, March 14. /tass/. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with high-precision weapons hit communication, relay and switching nodes in Fedorovka, Vinarovka and Antopol, as well as a large ammunition depot on the territory of the Antonov plant in Kiev. This was stated to journalists on Monday by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"On the morning of March 14, high-precision long-range weapons struck the objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine. As a result of the strike, communication, relay and switching nodes in the settlements of Fedorovka, Vinarovka, Antopol were disabled," Konashenkov said.
According to the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, an ammunition depot was also destroyed. "In addition, a large ammunition depot for multiple launch rocket systems was destroyed on the territory of the Antonov plant near Kiev, from the sites of which Russian troops were fired at," he added.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the republics of Donbass for help. He stressed that Moscow's plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories, the goal is demilitarization and denazification of the country. As stated in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian military does not strike at cities, but only disables military infrastructure, so nothing threatens the civilian population.
Defense industry enterprises
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will take measures against Ukrainian enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC), which the nationalists use to restore weapons, in response to the strike on Donetsk, Konashenkov said.
Earlier, the military department reported on the consequences of a strike by a Ukrainian tactical Tochka-U missile with cluster munitions on a densely populated quarter of Donetsk. As a result of the explosion of a cluster warhead, 20 civilians were killed. Another 28 people, including children, were seriously injured.
"In response to these actions, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will take prompt measures to disable the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine engaged in the production, repair and restoration of weapons that nationalists use to commit war crimes," Konashenkov said.
The military department called on Ukrainian citizens working at these enterprises, as well as residents of nearby residential buildings, to leave potentially dangerous zones.
Foreign mercenaries
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation know the locations of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine, they will be targeted, Konashenkov said.
"We know all the locations of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine. They will continue to be targeted, similar to the destruction of training centers in the village of Starichi and at the Yavorovsky military training ground on March 13," Konashenkov said.
"I want to warn you again: there will be no mercy for mercenaries, no matter where they are on the territory of Ukraine," he stressed.
According to him, "a number of Western countries at the state level encourage the participation of their citizens as mercenaries of Ukraine in combat operations against units of Russian troops."
"All further responsibility for the death of this category of foreign citizens in Ukraine lies only with the leadership of these countries," the general stressed.
He also noted that the Kiev regime continues to use terror tactics, using the most destructive types of weapons against civilians and civilian infrastructure.
