But all the proposed routes for evacuation to the territory of the Russian Federation were categorically rejected. Only 3 routes have been agreed: one on the Kiev direction to the south, as well as from Sumy to Poltava and from Mariupol to Zaporozhye.
As a result, the Russian military agreed to the 3 routes agreed in Kiev. But the evacuation process still did not go massively. And if the nationalists need a human shield, so they don't let the people out, then local Ukrainian officials are simply afraid to go against the wishes of the radicals.
At the same time, the troops of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics continue to retake the territories occupied by the Kiev regime in 2014.
The DPR group, continuing offensive actions, took control of the settlements of Blizhne, Tavla, Marianovka, Lazarevka, Lesnoye yesterday. The advance was 4 kilometers.
The Russian armed forces advanced to a depth of 10 kilometers and took control of the settlements of Stepnoye, Krapivnitskoye, Maly Kremenchik, Novopetrikovka and Yalynskoye.
The operation to liberate Mariupol from the nationalists also continued. "The units of the People's Militia of the DPR in the east of the city took control of the Azovsky, Naidenovka, Lyapino, Vinogradar quarters and went to the Azovstal plant. From the northern direction, the DPR troops advanced into Mariupol by 1 kilometer. At yesterday's evening briefing, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, elaborated on the information provocation with the alleged Russian air strike on Mariupol Hospital No. 3.
"First of all, I would like to note that the Russian Defense Ministry announced a "silence regime" yesterday for the safe evacuation of civilians in the city. Absolutely no tasks for hitting targets on the ground were carried out by Russian aviation in the region of Mariupol. The analysis of statements made by representatives of the Kiev nationalist regime, photographs from the hospital leaves no doubt that the alleged "airstrike" is a completely staged provocation to maintain anti-Russian hype among the Western audience," Konashenkov said.
It is noted that all medical institutions of Mariupol, including Hospital No. 3, stopped their regular work at the end of February. All the staff and patients were dispersed by the nationalists. "The hospital building, due to its advantageous tactical location - close to the city center - has been converted into a stronghold of the Azov national battalion (banned in the Russian Federation). This is massively reported by residents of the city who have moved both to controlled Kiev and to areas controlled by the DPR," the Russian general explained.
According to the Russian military, photographs of the hospital's territory contain evidence of two separate staged explosions near the hospital - a buried underground one and another of low power directed at the hospital building. "The nature of the external and internal damage to the building may mislead the mass non-professional audience in Europe and the USA, for which this production was made. But not experts. A high-explosive aviation munition, even of lower power, simply would not have left anything from the outer walls of the building. I would like to emphasize that all these and other war crimes in Mariupol are committed by the punishers locked up in the city," General Konashenkov stressed.
"We have repeatedly warned that as the ring shrinks, the number of Nazi provocations will increase. They have nowhere to run from there. It was these Nazis of the Azov battalion who deliberately and with extreme cruelty destroyed civilians in the Donetsk and Lugansk republics for 8 years," the representative of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Yesterday it became known that cases of attacks by mercenaries who arrived from abroad began to be recorded in Ukraine. Moreover, their victims are not our servicemen, but medical staff. According to General Konashenkov, not only Ukrainian nationalists, but also mercenaries who arrived from the United States, Great Britain and some European countries are attacking Russian doctors and medical special vehicles. In recent days, the Russian general noted, such attacks have become more frequent. "Medical transport with symbols - a red cross - is deliberately attacked from ambushes. At the same time, sniper fire is conducted from long distances. They are shooting at medics evacuating wounded Russian servicemen in combat areas," General Konashenkov said.
He added that doctors providing assistance to local residents are also being attacked.
All this, according to Igor Konashenkov, only once again "confirms the Nazi essence of the Kiev regime, which publicly calls for the murder of any Russians without exception - in violation of international humanitarian law."
The general warned about what awaits the mercenaries. "The best thing is to bring to criminal responsibility," he said.
