In 2022, the Ministry of Finance promises to open two more centers of the National Cyberpolygon, which will be located in St. Petersburg and the Orenburg Region on the basis of polytechnic and state universities, respectively.
Today there are already three centers of the National Cyberpolygon operating in the country, the last of which opened its doors last week in Samara on the basis of the Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PGUTI). Specialists of the university and a subsidiary of Rostelecom participated in its creation, and representatives of the State Duma, the Ministry of Finance and regional authorities attended the official ceremony.
The national cyberpolygon with all the infrastructure necessary to repel cyber attacks is being deployed throughout Russia, according to the federal project "Information Security" related to the national program "Digital Economy". The purpose of the cyberpolygon is to train specialists who will be able to ensure the cybersecurity of our country by eliminating hacker attacks and implementing innovative IT projects.
About what success has already been achieved the Russian government in the field of information security, our media resource told in early February following a speech by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance Alexander Shoitov.
