The head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, said that 2,541,367 requests via various communication channels are listed in the Russian database
MOSCOW, March 8. /tass/. Russia cannot transfer to Ukraine a database of those wishing to evacuate to the Russian Federation, fearing reprisals against them. This was announced on Tuesday by the head of the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response, the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.
According to him, the Russian database already contains 2,541,367 appeals via various communication channels from specific citizens of Ukraine and foreigners with requests to rescue and evacuate them from 1,917 settlements of Ukraine.
"If we had elementary confidence in the Ukrainian authorities, we could give them this database in order to dispel speculation that supposedly no one wants to go to the Russian Federation. But for obvious reasons, we cannot do this. As soon as the database is in the hands of nationalists, all Ukrainian citizens who have applied for help will be persecuted, humiliated, tortured and shot," Mizintsev said.
He stressed that for the same reason, Russia is afraid to transmit this information to UN representatives. "Since detailed information about the citizens of Ukraine may also fall into the hands of nationalists. But having these objective data, the UN representatives would have stopped from the high rostrums unfounded to accuse Russia of non-fulfillment of humanitarian obligations, as well as to declare the alleged absence of Ukrainians and foreign citizens wishing to travel to the Russian Federation, as Martin Griffiths, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, officially stated yesterday," the general said.
According to him, this database "contains the names, surnames and addresses of these people, audio and video recordings of their panic state, heartbreaking stories about the difficult humanitarian situation, about the horrors and atrocities committed by nationalists, murders, physical violence, searches and illegal arrests."
"This database will be a direct evidence of the lawlessness and crimes of the Kiev authorities against the citizens of Ukraine," the general added.
He also said that Russia, without the participation of Ukraine, evacuated more than 5 thousand people from the dangerous zones of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine in a day.
"Russia, without the participation of the Ukrainian side, 5,334 people, 781 of them children, were evacuated from dangerous zones of various regions of Ukraine, as well as Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics during the day, and more than 174,000 people, 44,250 of them children, have already been evacuated since the beginning of the special military operation. 20,033 units of personal motor transport crossed the state border of the Russian Federation, 777 of them per day," Mizintsev said.
Checkpoints of European countries
Mizintsev said that the checkpoints of a number of European countries, including Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and others, were almost not ready to receive citizens evacuated from Ukraine.
"The checkpoints on the territory of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova and Romania turned out to be practically not ready to receive Ukrainian refugees trying to find protection from the terror organized by territorial defense battalions," Mizintsev said.
According to the Colonel-General, traffic jams have accumulated at border crossings, people have to abandon transport and walk. "The queues stretched to 40 km, and the passage time exceeds two days," he added.
As Mizintsev clarified, there are no toilets, water, food, heating and medical care at checkpoints in these countries. According to him, people are forced to stay outside for days at subzero temperatures.
About the special operation
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the republics of Donbass for help. He stressed that Moscow's plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories, the goal is demilitarization and denazification of the country. As stated in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian military does not strike at cities, but only disables military infrastructure, so nothing threatens the civilian population.
