The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has created an interdepartmental coordination headquarters for humanitarian response, whose main task is to provide comprehensive humanitarian assistance to the population of Ukraine in controlled areas, as well as the DPR and LPR, and to ensure the safe evacuation of civilians, Ukrainian civilians and foreign citizens, the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, told reporters.
"Realizing the exceptional importance of the humanitarian component during the special military operation in Ukraine, by the decision of the country's Leadership, an interdepartmental coordination headquarters for humanitarian response was created at the Russian Defense Ministry on the basis of the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation, which started working around the clock," Mizintsev said.
"None of the residents of Ukraine who are in the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will be left without food, without water, without basic necessities," he added.
The staff includes authorized representatives of all federal executive authorities, state corporations and organizations, as well as subjects of the Russian Federation, Mizintsev added.
"The main tasks of the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters are: providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance to the population of Ukraine in the controlled areas, as well as the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics; ensuring the safe evacuation of civilians, Ukrainian civilians and foreign citizens," he said.
According to Mizintsev, the following priority measures have been implemented and are currently being implemented: together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the FSB, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Rospotrebnadzor and the executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, the evacuation of civilians and foreign citizens is being organized (for this purpose, interdepartmental operational headquarters have been created in the subjects of Russia, appropriate groups have been deployed at airports, railway and bus stations).
"The system of decent reception of Ukrainian citizens in Russia is currently working efficiently and smoothly. The issues of placement of children in preschool institutions, schoolchildren and students in educational institutions, as well as employment of arriving citizens at the place of temporary stay are being promptly resolved," Mizintsev stressed.
The Ministry of Transport, Rosaviation, Rosmorrechflot, Roszheldor, Russian Railways and Rosturizm, as part of the interdepartmental coordination headquarters for humanitarian response, provide solutions to transport and logistics problems in the south of the country, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation, said on Wednesday.
