"Only according to confirmed data, the number of captured servicemen of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine is 572 people," the representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said.
He also said that "498 Russian servicemen were killed in the performance of military duty." "1,597 of our comrades were injured," Konashenkov said.
"The information spread by many Western and individual Russian media outlets about the alleged "incalculable" losses of the Russian group is purposeful misinformation," said a representative of the Russian Defense Ministry.
