The state corporation compared partners with ostriches

MOSCOW, March 1. /tass/. The sanctions imposed by the European side are causing real losses to Roscosmos. The state corporation will evaluate them and put them up for payment to partners in Europe, the press service of Roscosmos told TASS.

The state corporation compared partners with ostriches who hide their heads, evade the explanation of sanctions, grossly violate partnership agreements and destroy the common dream of space exploration.

"They have damaged the scientific program of the Spektr-RG space Observatory by disabling one of its two telescopes. The sanctions imposed by them are causing us real losses, which will definitely be assessed and put up for payment to the European side," the state corporation said.

Roscosmos also found it difficult to answer the question whether international space cooperation with the participation of Russia will continue. "Our former partners will have to answer, with whom we have been building relations for years, decades, giving them a shoulder in a difficult moment, as, for example, in the case of the United States, when their shuttles stopped flying, or with Europe, when American partners abandoned the ExoMars project," the state corporation stressed, specifying that the Russian side has always met halfway, demonstrated openness and readiness for international cooperation.

Earlier, the European Space Agency stated that it considers the possibility of launching the Russian-European Mars exploration mission ExoMars unlikely due to anti-Russian sanctions imposed in connection with the situation in Ukraine. ESA also reported that they are studying the possibility of using European rockets to launch satellites into orbit, the launch of which was planned to be carried out on Russian Soyuz rockets.

On Saturday, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said on the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live" that the German side had notified that it would turn off its telescope at the Spektr-RG space observatory, which is a joint project in the Russian Federation.
