A team of retired special forces officers of the United Kingdom went to Ukraine.
This is reported by the Daily Mirror.
"Retired soldiers of the British special forces voluntarily went on missions deep into Ukraine to support the defense of the country," the newspaper writes.
According to the newspaper, veterans aged 40 to 60 years held meetings where they discussed the support of Kiev. It is noted that among them there are "highly qualified snipers and experts in the use of anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles."
According to the publication, more than a dozen veterans have already arrived in Ukraine, another dozen will leave this week.
"It is believed that the operation is not paid for by the British government, but will be funded by an unnamed country in Europe through a private military company," Interfax quoted the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying.
Former paratroopers and other British military specialists may also join special forces teams in Ukraine at some point.
