Washington continues to believe in the power of diplomacy to resolve the Ukrainian crisis - State Department

Washington. February 28. INTERFAX - Diplomacy in Washington is considered the only effective means of resolving the situation around Ukraine, State Department spokesman Ned Price said at a briefing on Monday.

"We still believe in diplomacy. We believe that diplomacy is the only responsible and reliable means in this conflict," he said.

At the same time, Price pointed out that the United States can contact Russia through a number of channels independently - "through the channels of the State Department, the Ministry of Defense, through other channels that exist."
