Brussels. February 27. INTERFAX - EU countries have agreed to send weapons to Ukraine, including lethal ones, in the amount of 450 million euros, EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrel said at a press conference on Sunday.
"We decided to use our capabilities to supply weapons - lethal weapons, lethal military aid - to the Ukrainian army in the amount of 450 million euros and another 50 million euros of non-lethal aid cargo," he said after the meeting of the EU foreign ministers.
Borrel stressed that this is a precedent for the history of the EU. He also thanked Poland for agreeing to become a transshipment point for the delivery of this aid to Ukraine.
