Hong Kong. February 27. INTERFAX - The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) of the South Korean Armed Forces believes that an unidentified projectile launched by the DPRK on Sunday morning is a ballistic missile, the Yonhap news agency reports.
"Currently, our military is closely monitoring the possibility of additional launches and maintaining a state of readiness," the agency quotes the message of the OKNSH.
According to the published data of the Japanese Defense Ministry, the missile covered a distance of 300 km, the maximum flight altitude reached 600 km.
Initially, the South Korean Armed Forces OKNSH informed about the launch of an "unidentified projectile" by the North.
North Korea has already conducted seven missile test launches this year, including the launch of a medium-range ballistic missile.
