The teleconference is scheduled for 14:00
MOSCOW, February 26. /tass/. The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin on Monday plans to discuss with the leadership of the European Space Agency (ESA) sanctions affecting Russian space enterprises, as well as the prospects for joint space missions.
"On Monday, at 14:00, I will have a teleconference with the ESA leadership, first of all, I want to get a full explanation of the meaning and content of the sanctions that the EU is imposing on our enterprises, among others. Of course, let's talk about the fate of this mission [Exomars]," Rogozin said on Saturday on the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live".
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos said that the German side had notified about the shutdown of its telescope at the Spektr-RG space observatory, which is a joint project with the Russian Federation.
The EU has imposed strict financial and technological sectoral restrictions against 64 key structures of the Russian Federation, including in relation to the Progress rocket and space Center. The European Union has severely restricted access to the capital market and financial services for these structures, prohibited the provision of technical assistance to them and trade in military or dual-use products and technologies with them. The EU has also banned the supply of an extensive list of high-tech products to Russia, in particular communication systems, electronics, semiconductors, aviation and space components.
In response to EU sanctions, Roscosmos suspends cooperation with European partners on the organization of launches from the Kourou cosmodrome in French Guiana.
