Washington. February 26. INTERFAX - The American administration has appealed to Congress with a request to allocate $6.4 billion for actions related to the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, American media reported, citing sources.
The Hill publication, referring to an administration representative, specifies that $2.9 billion is planned for the State Department and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for humanitarian assistance, as well as Poland, the Baltic States and allies on the eastern flank of NATO to help ensure the security of Ukraine. Another $3.5 billion has been requested for additional Pentagon funding.
