MOSCOW, February 23/ Radio Sputnik. On Wednesday evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Kremlin's press service reports.
The Heads of State discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine and security issues.
Putin stressed that the decision taken by Moscow is connected with the current situation in the Donbass.
In turn, Erdogan outlined to his Russian counterpart "his well-known views" on the situation.
Another topic of discussion was the relations between Russia and the West. The Kremlin's press service noted that Putin drew the Turkish leader's attention to the fact that the United States and NATO did not treat Russia's proposals with due attention.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported on the readiness of the Russian Foreign Ministry to continue negotiations with the West on issues related to security issues.
