The head of Roscosmos noted that "cross-flights are a NASA proposal"
MOSCOW, February 23. /tass/. The United States should not destroy space cooperation with Russia, this may lead to premature curtailment of joint work on the ISS and other dramatic consequences. This was written on Facebook by the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin, answering the question whether the decision "to send troops to Donetsk" could negatively affect the unfinished agreements between NASA and Roscosmos on "cross flights" and the extension of the space station until 2030.
"Cross-flights are not our idea. This is a NASA proposal. And we adopted it to strengthen the skills of the international crew and the safety of the station. If the US administration wants to arrange a pogrom not only in our relations on Earth, but also in space, hardly anyone can dissuade it from this. But the United States should stop and not destroy our space cooperation," Rogozin wrote.
According to the head of Roscosmos, this could lead "to the premature curtailment of joint work on the ISS and other dramatic consequences." He also said that no such decisions have been discussed so far. "I hope everyone will calm down and the joint work will continue," said the head of Roscosmos.
