Kiev. February 23. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - The conscription of reservists into the ranks of the armed forces of Ukraine begins on Wednesday, February 23, according to the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Reservists from 18 to 60 years old will be subject to conscription. These will be both officers and enlisted, non-commissioned personnel. The appeal will begin today. The maximum service life is 1 year," the message on the Facebook social network says.
The command clarified that the reservists of the operational reserve of the first stage will serve in those military units and in the specialty in which they served before and signed a contract to serve in the operational reserve.
"The conscripted reservists, according to the law of Ukraine, will retain a workplace and an average monthly salary," the message emphasizes.
According to the order of the President of Ukraine, reservists of the operational reserve of the first stage must independently report to their military units, by phone call or having received a summons.
Administrative or criminal liability is provided for failure to appear or ignoring a call.
Reservists of the first stage of the operational reserve are military personnel who are discharged from military service, conscription during mobilization, for a special period, who, according to their professional and psychological characteristics and health status, are suitable for service in the military reserve and meet the established requirements for service in the military reserve, and have received a certain military accounting specialty.
