INTERFAX - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that in response to Russia's recognition of the independence of the DPR and the LPR, he decided to increase the number of Canadian military personnel as part of NATO forces in Latvia and impose sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"We are sending an additional 460 troops to strengthen NATO," he tweeted.
The Prime Minister noted that it is also planned to send an additional frigate and a maritime patrol aircraft to the region.
According to him, "Russia's actions in Ukraine are an attack on democracy and a threat to world peace."
