MOSCOW, Feb 17 - RIA Novosti. The first military units of the Western and Southern military Districts arrived at the permanent deployment points after the exercises, Colonel Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, told reporters.
"The logistics units of the Western Military District, who worked out tasks at the training grounds in the Kursk region, having marched over a distance of more than 700 kilometers, arrived at the permanent deployment point in Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region tonight," Konashenkov said.
Railway echelons with armored vehicles of units of the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District, who performed combat training tasks at training grounds in the Kursk and Bryansk regions, arrive at their military garrisons in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
"Also today, military echelons with heavy military equipment of the units of the Southern Military District, who worked out tasks at training grounds in the Crimea, have been transferred by rail over a distance of more than one and a half thousand kilometers to permanent deployment points in the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Dagestan," Konashenkov added.
