Moscow. February 16. INTERFAX - By supplying weapons to Ukraine, Western countries can push Kiev to a forceful solution to the Donbass problem, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mikhail Popov said.
"When such a large number of armed forces and military equipment are concentrated in the region, one accidental shot is enough for an armed conflict to break out with renewed vigor," he said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
"Saturation, or rather oversaturation of Ukraine with various types of weapons, unfortunately, may cause some leaders of the military department of this country, as well as representatives of nationalist groups located in areas bordering the Lugansk and Donetsk republics, the illusion of "invincibility" and push them to provoke an open military clash," Popov said.
