Echelons with military equipment are being withdrawn from Crimea to places of permanent deployment after the planned exercises are completed. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, units of the Southern Military District that have completed participation in tactical exercises at the training grounds of the Crimean Peninsula are moving to the garrisons.
"The personnel of the unit carried out the loading of tracked armored vehicles - tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and self-propelled artillery installations on railway platforms at loading stations," the military department said.
After arriving at the military units, the equipment will be serviced and prepared for the next stage of combat training.
The Armed Forces are currently holding large-scale events of operational training of troops and forces, in which almost all military districts, fleets and airborne forces take part.
As previously reported, the units of the Southern and Western Military districts, which have completed the exercises, have already started loading on rail and road transport and moved to the garrisons.
