Neither the US nor NATO plan to deploy missiles in Ukraine
Washington. February 16. INTERFAX - The United States does not consider Russia its enemy, and Washington has no goal to destabilize it, US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday.
"Neither the US nor NATO pose a threat to Russia. Ukraine does not pose a threat to Russia. Neither the US nor NATO has missiles in Ukraine. We also have no plans to deploy missiles there," he said at a briefing.
"We do not seek to destabilize Russia. Citizens of Russia, you are not enemies for us," Biden said.
In recent weeks, the United States, other NATO countries and Kiev have repeatedly stated about the concentration of Russian troops near the border of Ukraine and the threat of a Russian invasion of a neighboring country. Russia has consistently denied these allegations.
