Moscow. February 15th. INTERFAX - Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in the responses of the United States and NATO to Russia's proposals on security guarantees there are a number of considerations that Moscow has proposed in previous years and is ready to discuss now.
"I repeat, the responses we received from the United States and other NATO countries to our proposals on security guarantees, in our opinion, do not meet the three basic Russian requirements mentioned. However, in the submitted answers, nevertheless, there are, as the Russian Foreign Minister reported to me yesterday, a number of considerations that we are not only not against discussing, but in fact, we once offered them to our partners in previous years - on issues of European security, on issues of certain weapons systems, I mean shorter and medium-range missiles, military transparency," Putin said on Tuesday at a press conference following talks in Moscow with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
