Fox News (USA): what is the benefit of Ukraine joining NATO
Former member of the US House of Representatives Tulsi Gabbard analyzed the grounds for Ukraine's accession to NATO. In the program "Tucker Carlson tonight" on Fox News, he said that Biden "with a blue eye" says that he defends democracy, and he publicly approves of the authoritarian actions of the Ukrainian president.
Tucker Carlson:This does not seem to be something positive. No one can explain why Americans would welcome Ukraine's membership in NATO. Do we not understand something? What is the benefit for the USA here?
Tulsi Gabbard:I have been trying to understand this situation for a long time and still have not found any reasons why a political leader could justify this in the eyes of Americans. We only hear about the need to defend democracy and democratic Ukraine, but as you know very well, the current president persecutes members of the political opposition, throws them in jail, closes television channels.
It is unbearable to watch how President Biden and others talk in a blue eye about defending democracy, while they publicly approve of the authoritarian actions of the Ukrainian president and take their own political opposition out of the game. The question arises: why does no one attach importance to the fact that something very similar is happening inside our own country?
